Percival Lafer is a contemporary Brazilian furniture maker and pioneer of the Brazilian Modernist movement. He is most famous for his chair and sofa designs, which combine low-profile hardwood structures with plush leather upholstery. “I’ve always been drawn to the motion features of furniture,” he’s said. “The engineering and design work that goes into its mechanisms is fascinating and fulfilling.”

Beautiful lounge chair by Brazilian designer Percival Lafer. This chair consists of a solid wooden base to which the leather seating is attached. The tufted black leather seating is decorated with leather straps. The sturdy legs are tapered and placed slightly tilted, which attributes to the bulky frame. The seating and legs are connected by beautiful large wooden beats. A robust yet highly detailed piece.
